The Cascade Horizon Band (CHB) started rehearsals January 21, 2003 with but twelve members; it now boasts 72 members, all between the ages of 50 and 80 plus. A very few members in their late 40s are called our "seniors in training". The band makes approximately 12 performances a year, including major winter and spring concerts. All concerts are free, though donations are gladly accepted.

CHB is affiliated with the New Horizons Senior Band program, which began in 1991 at New York's prestigious Eastman School of Music. There are now over 150 bands internationally. CHB was the 74th band to join the program.

The goal of our band is to bring the joy of music into the hearts of community members, and we start by having a grand time ourselves! Having been in bands and enjoyed music in our younger days, we thrill at the chance of once again being part of a lively musical group.
